The short answer
Two sportsbooks name MatchPay in their own deposit and withdrawal limit tables. Bovada serves US players outside the 19 states and DC its terms rule out1,2,3. Ozoon is the Canadian site that Bodog's Canadian operation became in February 2026, and its terms exclude US residents altogether4,5,6,7.
MatchPay also appears in the help centres of Ignition, Slots.lv and Cafe Casino8,9,10, which use the same help-centre layout and MatchPay wording as Bovada's. None of the three takes sports bets: Ignition's menu stops at poker, casino, live dealer, promotions and scratch cards, the other two are casino-only, and a /sports address returns a 404 on all three11,12,13.
Several review sites say BetOnline has added MatchPay. We could not check that, because BetOnline's banking page served our location a Cloudflare security check instead of the page14. Until BetOnline's own pages show it, it is not on our list.
MatchPay at Bovada and Ozoon, side by side
Everything below is what each sportsbook publishes. Amounts at Bovada are US dollars; Ozoon prices its bonuses in Canadian dollars, though its MatchPay page talks about USD (more on that in the Ozoon guide).

| Who can open an account | US, except DE, MD, NJ, NV, NY, MI, CO, DC, CT, WV, OH, KS, PA, LA, MA, TN, AZ, NH, VT and RI3 | Canada, except QC, NS, MB and NB; US residents excluded6 |

The two sportsbooks
Bovada United States
- SportsbookFootball (NFL and college), baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, live betting, horse racing
- MatchPay$10 to $2,000 in and out
- Cash-outs2 MatchPay withdrawals per day
- Terms age18, or higher where local law says so
The busiest place to use MatchPay for sports. Its help centre has eight MatchPay articles, from setting up the account to reporting a stuck trade. Read our Bovada walkthrough before the first deposit, mainly for the bonus rule.

Ozoon Canada only
- SportsbookNFL, NHL, MLB, tennis, soccer, live betting, same-game parlays, horses
- MatchPay$10 to $3,000 in and out
- Cash-outs2 MatchPay withdrawals per 24 hours
- Not availableUS, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, New Brunswick
Ozoon lists MatchPay with higher limits than Bovada, but the apps MatchPay runs on are mostly US-only. The Ozoon guide works through what that leaves a Canadian bettor.

Five things that change when you bet with MatchPay
Most MatchPay explainers are written for casino players. These five points come from the same help pages, read with a betting slip in mind.
1. Your MatchPay deposit will not earn the sports welcome bonus
Bovada and Ozoon use the same sentence: "Bonuses are not available for MatchPay deposits unless otherwise specified in the bonus description, this includes our Welcome and Refer-a-Friend Bonuses."18,19 Bovada's sports welcome bonus is 50% up to $250 with a 5x rollover on the deposit and the bonus, and it "can only be redeemed on your FIRST DEPOSIT"20. Ozoon's is 100% up to $400 plus 50 free spins, with a 12x sports rollover on deposit plus bonus inside 30 days21, and you pick one welcome bonus on your first deposit22.
2. You must bet what you deposit before you can withdraw
Both books say "all deposits must be wagered completely before any winnings can be withdrawn", and a withdrawal that breaks the rule can be cancelled and the money put back in your balance23,24. MatchPay is not a way to park money at a sportsbook and pull it back unplayed. Bovada's page does mention an exception for peer-to-peer methods when you re-deposit all or part of an earlier withdrawal.
3. Fund your account before game day, not at kickoff
Once you are matched, MatchPay runs a fixed clock: 5 minutes to accept, 8 minutes to pay, 5 minutes to confirm25. Finding a match comes first and "may take a few moments". If nobody takes the trade, you are asked to add payment methods or change the amount18. Zelle trades are processed on business days only: one started on a Saturday completes on Monday18,26. If Zelle is your only app, a Sunday-morning deposit for the early NFL games arrives after the games are over.
4. You may only get three deposit attempts a day
"Depending on your account status, MatchPay deposits may be limited to three attempts per day," Bovada says, and Ozoon's page says much the same18,19. Bovada says the cap is there to cut down on failed attempts, so set up every app you use before your first try.
5. A big win comes out in $2,000 or $3,000 pieces
A MatchPay withdrawal at Bovada tops out at $2,000, and you can make two in a calendar day2. A third request within 24 hours of the first waits until those 24 hours are up27. At Ozoon the cap is $3,000, also twice per 24 hours5,28. A $10,000 parlay at Bovada therefore needs five MatchPay requests and at least three days, and that assumes every Offer finds a buyer.
Plan a MatchPay cash-out
Type in a payout to see the fewest MatchPay requests and days it takes at each book, next to the faster route each sportsbook publishes for large amounts.
MatchPay payout planner
How long a winning ticket takes to cash out by MatchPay, at best.
- Request 1$2,000Day 1
- Request 2$2,000Day 1
- Request 3$2,000Day 2
- Request 4$2,000Day 2
- Request 5$2,000Day 3
Best case only. A match is never guaranteed, and a third request inside 24 hours waits until 24 hours after the first. MatchPay's own FAQ caps one trade at $2,000, so a larger Ozoon request can be filled by more than one buyer. Deposits must be wagered in full before any withdrawal at both books.
MatchPay brands with no sportsbook
Ignition, Slots.lv and Cafe Casino use the same help-centre layout as Bovada, and each has its own "What is MatchPay?" article8,9,10. MatchPay works the same way there. You just cannot bet on a game: there is no sportsbook tab on any of them11,12,13. If you came for poker or slots rather than sports, our sister site MatchPayCasinos.org covers the casino side.

Other sportsbooks we checked
We looked for MatchPay on the banking pages of other offshore sportsbooks that US bettors search for. A "no" here means the operator's own page did not list it on 4 October 2026; it can change.
| Sportsbook | What we found |
|---|---|
| BetOnline | Could not check: the banking page returned a Cloudflare "extra security check for site visitors from your country" page14. Third-party claims that it accepts MatchPay are unconfirmed. |
| SportsBetting.ag | Could not check, for the same reason29. |
| BetNow | Its banking page does not mention MatchPay30. |
| Everygame | Its homepage footer shows card and crypto marks and no MatchPay31; everygame.eu/banking returned a 404. |
A quick test for any sportsbook that says it takes MatchPay: look for it in that site's own deposit-limits and withdrawal-limits tables, the way Bovada and Ozoon list it, before you sign up.
Legality and safety, briefly
Both sportsbooks publish offshore licences, not licences from a US state or a Canadian provincial regulator3,6. In May 2024 Michigan's Gaming Control Board called Bovada.com and Bovada.lv "illegal online gaming sites" and sent their operator a cease-and-desist letter; Michigan is now on Bovada's restricted list32,3. Ozoon is not in iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites33. Whether you may use either one depends on where you live and where you are when you bet, so check your state's laws (or your province's) first. Nothing here is legal advice.
MatchPay also means paying a stranger. Venmo's user agreement says it "should only be used to transact with people you know and trust"34, and PayPal lists gambling, including sports betting, among the activities that need its pre-approval35. The risks section of our how-to covers what that means in practice.
